I recently had the opportunity to rent a car from Sixt at Crete Heraklion Airport. Overall, it was a reliable and comfortable car rental experience, with just a few minor hiccups. Let's start with the positives. I opted for a Volkswagen Tiguan, and I must say it was a great choice. The car was incredibly comfortable, with plenty of space for both passengers and luggage. It made our journey around Crete a breeze. Another notable aspect was the fuel consumption, which turned out to be surprisingly low. This helped us save some money on our road trips, which is always a plus. Now, onto the downsides. During the rental process, there was a noticeable insistence from the Sixt staff to add additional services like insurance. While I understand that upselling is part of their job, it did become a bit pushy and repetitive. It would have been nice to have a smoother and less persistent approach in this regard. Despite this, I still appreciate the overall experience with Sixt. Their service was reliable, the car was in excellent condition, and the rental process itself was fairly straightforward. It's worth noting that their location at Crete Heraklion Airport was convenient, making it easy to pick up and drop off the vehicle. In conclusion, if you're planning a trip to Crete and need a reliable car rental option, Sixt is definitely worth considering!

Thanks again for your excellent service and staying open past 1am the night of the 15th/16th October 2022 when the Airport was closed due to flooding. The car (booked directly via sixt.de) was good (as always) and no problems when returning it.

I arrived at the service counter in quite some panic as i lost my wallet including drivers license and credit cards on the plane. In this situation the service team was sincerely empathetic and thoughtfully helped to resolve my situation so my wife could still rent the car, which I relied on heavily as we stayed in a very remote location hours away from the airport. Also the refunding of the deposit with debit card upon return worked flawlessly. Thanks for such a helpful service and the very nice car.

Had a mix-up with our car booking with another company which kinda left us stranded at the airport. Mariana at the Sixt desk in the airport did everything she could to help us out and get us on the road with as little fuss as possible. She was an absolute star. Furthermore, for one reason or another, this is the third time Sixt has offered us incredible service like this. It's not a once off and the company should really be proud of their staff and everything they do. We are full blown fans now and will never hire from another. Just unbeatable.
