It's been a month since I rented a car. The car was amazing, clean, etc. No complaints there. This review really is for customer service in the aftermath of a smash and grab:
Two days in to the rental someone smashed the back passenger window...I drove back to the rental place at on a Sunday night, actually ending up at the wrong terminal. The worker there (Fazio?) was amazing. He focused on making sure I was okay, he offered me some water (as I was clearly upset and crying) and told me it would all work out. He swapped cars and off I went for the rest of my trip. That in itself I think was worthy of a good review...
I just received the bill for the damage. I was expecting to be charged a ridiculous amount for "Loss of use" -- nope, totally reasonable amount was charged. The charge for the replacement of the window came with the ACTUAL invoice attached -- the charge had no mark it up!! I could gripe over the $45 admin fee, but I do get it -- this caused all of us additional time and work for all of us.
It was so easy to submit the claim & upload photos of what happened. Thru the process at no time did I ever feel like I was a bad person for letting something happen to the car.
Honestly, I will probably now choose SIXT over my Old "go to" rental companies from here on out.
