While summer in Hawaii can be hot, with temperatures in the upper 70s and 80s on average, there is almost always a breeze and almost always the ocean nearby to cool off in. Surfing is at its best for non-pros on the North Shore of Hawaii and at Waikiki Beach in O’ahu in the summer. Less rain during the summer months makes it the optimal time for hiking.
