Car rental under 25 in Norway
The minimum age for a SIXT rental in Norway is 19, with a driver’s license held for at least 1 year. Some car categories have a higher minimum age, and an underage driver fee applies to those under 23.
Winter equipment
Winter tires are put on SIXT cars in Norway from Nov. 1 until April 30. A winter service fee may be added to your rental if it’s not already included. A ski box or roof rack may also be available for station wagon rentals.
Accepted payment methods
We accept all major credit cards as payment in Norway. Prepaid and debit cards, along with cash, are not accepted as payment.

I had a great service and experience with Sixt Lofoten, which might sound unusual for a car rental company, but it was all down to having August serve me (the car was great as well).
He was professional over both the encounters I had with him (picking up and returning) and it really made my day! It’s always a breath of fresh air to have a personable member of staff who is clearly passionate about their job and the task at hand. August went above and beyond and gave me local sites to see, places to eat, and just some general knowledge about how everything works in Norway.
I won’t babble in, but I just felt compelled to write this review and hopefully he can get the recognition he deserves!
If you read this August, thank you very much for your service and hospitality, and hopefully we can meet again one day in the future! (Great fashions sense too!)

good value for money, no bad billing surprise after drop off, confirmation received fast. Also for winter driving the car was modern and fully equipped with ton of safety options + comfort options (heated wheeldrive etc) It was a mazda 3 yet it was 4x4 that was also very securing on the frozen road. winter tires with spikes. Driving was easy even on challenging roads. great experience!
