The small town of Raisio is a perfect place to stay whilst enjoying the whole of the Turku environs by car. Raisio is conveniently located close to the junction of two major routes, the E8 and the E63. In the town itself major attractions include the Museum Harkko and the Krookila Local History Museum. From Raisio its a short simple drive along the E8 to the city of Turku where visitors can enjoy a host of cultural and historic attractions including Turku Castle, one of the areas most prominent landmarks. Raisio marina is a wonderful place to while away the hours and also serves as a gateway to the magnificent Archipelago, much of which can be explored via car. The town itself is surrounded by miles of unspoilt countryside, including the Raisio River Conservation Area, which is easy to explore when you rent a car.
